das Espresso im 7ten

Nierentisch und Pastellfarben...

Das Espresso in der Burggasse ist ja schon seit 2004 ein beliebtes Café. Das ursprüngliche Espresso wurde anscheinend 1965 eröffnet, und das „neue“ Espresso hat die Einrichtung wieder größtenteils original 60er, saniert und hergerichtet.

Was mir noch nicht so bewusst war ist, dass man im Espresso wunderbar frühstücken kann, auch unter der Woche von 7:00 an! Mich freut besonders, dass das „kleine Frühstück“ ein klassisches Wienerfrühstück ist, mit zwei Semmeln, einem kernweichen Ei und Marmelade und Butter. Natürlich gibt's auch andere Frühstücksangebote, Omeletten und orientalisches Frühstück etc.

Besonders fein wars gestern vormittag beim Frühstück mit einer Freundin, weil wir im Schanigarten in der Sonne gefrühstückt haben, und das mitten im siebten!
Übrigens; die Bedienung war sehr schnell und sehr freundlich, und das, obwohl es ziemlich voll war!

Das Espresso ist also nicht nur abends zum Weggehen oder am Nachmittag für einen Café ein perfekter Treffpunkt, nein, man kann auch wunderfein dort Frühstücken!

The Espresso in the viennese Burggasse has been a very popular Café since reopening in 2004. The original Espresso apparently was opened in 1956, and the „new“ Espresso has original 50ies furnitures, partly renovated.
What i did not know before, is that you can have a wonderful breakfast in the Espresso, even on weekdays and from 7am on! I especially like, that the „small breakfast“ is a classical viennese breakfast, two rolls, a soft-boiled egg, jam and butter. Of course they have other breakfast offers too, omelets, oriental breakfast etc.

I especially liked it there yesterday morning, meeting a friend for breakfast, because we could sit outside in the sun in the small garden, and all that right in the middle of the seventh district!
BTW, service was really fast and very friendly, although it was a quite busy time!

The Espresso is therfore not only a great place to have a drink with friends in the evenings or have a Melange during the afternoons, no, it is a great place to have breakfast too!
