Stricken im Park

Es ist wieder so weit, morgen ist wwkip oder auch „worldwide knit in public-day“ und auch in Wien, bzw. Österreich gibt es offizielle Treffen, u.a. im Stadtpark und auch am Karlsplatz in Wien.
Natürlich gibt es etliche sozio-kulturelle Gründe, wieso einmal im Jahr in der Öffentlichkeit gestrickt oder sonst gehandarbeitet wird, es ist auf jeden Fall eine wunderbare Gelegenheit andere Leute zu treffen und kennen zu lernen, die dasselbe Hobby haben und mit Ihnen ein paar Stunden im Park zu stricken und zu tratschen.

Wann: 11. Juni ab 16:00 Uhr
Treffpunkt: Wasser vor der Karlskirche
Montage: ca. 19:00 Uhr
Mitbringen: Nadeln, Wolle, gute Laune und aktionistische Lust, Brot und Wein, Sitzgelegenheit

Strickpicknick
ab 14:00 auf der Liegewiese im Stadtpark

Knitting in the park

Its that time of the year again, tomorrow is wwkip or also „worldwide knit in public day“, and there are loads of official meetings listed, even here in austria we have a couple.
Of course there are so many social and cultural reasons to knit or craft at least once a year in the public, but after all its also a great opportunity to meet and get to know people who have the same hobby as you and knit and talk with them in the park for a couple of hours!
