day 5 - lazy sunday

so Sunday was supposed to be totally lazy, staying-in-pyjamas-all-day-long-kind of lazy.

and still it would have qualified for MMM13! because i still love wearing one of my first finished hand knit cardigans (this is qualifying as vintage by now, having been knit ca. 2008? probably even by 2006...). Its not presentable anymore, the yarn matted and pilled ages ago, its just comfortable and cozy.

I used a yarn from coats my mum got for me in Hungary and changed the pattern Starsky by Jordana Paige, published in Knitty winter 2005. I had to change the pattern since my yarn was fingering or sport weight, but the pattern called for bulky, so i recalculated all numbers.
anyways, it is a great pattern, i loved knitting it (or better, i don't remember any terrible mishaps while knitting it) and i wore it to pieces (i actually had to darn one of the elbows...)

But, how it often happens, it wasn't only a lazy Sunday. My boyfriend and i decided to take a stroll through the city and get ice-cream downtown.

okay, i took the same shawl again, and the rest of my outfit is not self-made.

...but i am only getting started in this challenge anyways!
