Letzte Woche hatte ich die wunderbare Gelegenheit ein fertiges Bauprojekt zu besuchen, an dem ich mitgearbeitet habe.
Und zwar ist es die Zentrale des Bauunternehmens Lux Bau in Hainfeld, Niederöstereich.

Die sehr interessante aber auch relativ schwierige Aufgabe war es ein bestehendes Bürohaus und eine bestehende Villa miteinander zu verbinden, da die Baufirma inzwischen so groß ist, dass sie sowohl das Bürohaus als auch das Erdgeschoss der Villa benutzen.
synn architekten, für die ich zu der Zeit gearbeitet habe, haben diese schwierige Aufgabenstellung mit einem recht puristischen, schnittigen Baukörper aus Glas und Sichtbeton, der beide Gebäude verbindet, gelöst. Außerdem wurden die bestehenden Gebäude saniert und teilweise die Raumaufteilungen im Inneren geändert und an die neuen Bedingungen optimal angpaßt.

Es war wirklich ein wunderbares Gefühl, dieses Projekt so schön fertiggestellt sehen zu können. Es steckt ja doch sehr viel Arbeit darin und es waren sehr viele Leute und Firmen daran beteiligt, und jetzt ist dieses Gebäude fertig und benutzt und anscheinend fühlen sich die Mitarbeiter der Firma Lux auch wohl darin. Der Bauherr, Erich Lux, ist offensichtlich stolz und zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis.

Und deshalb freue ich mich auch umso mehr, dass ich an diesem Projekt mitwirken konnte.

Last week i had the wonderful opportunity to visit a finished project, i was collaborating on.

It is the headquarter of the construction firm Lux Bau in Hainfeld, Lower Austria.
The very interesting but also challenging task was to connect the two existing buildings, an office building and an old Villa, since the construction firm by now uses both the offices and the ground floor of the Villa.

synn architekten, who i was working for at that time, mastered the task by adding a puristic, stylish  „thing“ (lacking a better word) of glas and concrete, which is connecting the two buildings. Additionally, the two old buildings were renovated and, to a certain extent, the interior layout got adopted to the new demands of serving as the head office.

It was a great feeling to see this project finished, and finished so beautifully. After all, a lot of work was put into developing this building and so many people and firms had a part in the construction. Now the new headquarter is finished and apparently the employees like it. The owner, Erich Lux, obviously is proud of it and satisfied with the result.

And this just makes me more happy of having been able to contribute to this project.
