MeMadeMay'13 - Day 2

that was actually the 2nd of may, and i chose to finally wear a handknit sweater again.

This sweater was knit up using a tutorial by Clara Falk aka Clara Stickar. It's a simple and nice top-down raglan sweater with a wide neck, reminiscent of those 80ies movies, like Flashdance (hence she chose the name Alex for the pattern).

I knit this sweater in 2011, but was never completely happy with it, because the neck was just way too wide. so i finally decided to do some knitsurgery and snip off the ribbing at the top, pick up all those stitches and reknit the ribbing with much smaller needles. Since it still was too big after all that surgery, i did an additional singlecrochet row right on to the last row.

And now it is still a sweater with a wide neck, but won't fall off my shoulders all the time!
